Reach

What it does

Every audible dial, under the reach of every finger.

Reach is the matrix-driven Quiver synth. Two oscillators, a sub, a state-variable filter, a saturation stage - and a 13-destination by 4-source matrix that maps your MPE expression directly onto warp, detune, drift, cutoff, resonance, drive, and the mix levels. There are no static base values for the things the matrix governs; the cell's "from" point is the at-rest anchor and the "to" is where each finger pushes it.

Reroll dice randomise the matrix in one click; per-row freeze flags protect the cells you've grown attached to. The shared Quiver visual language reads at full scale: the matrix is the hero, the keyboard runs along the floor, the chrome stays quiet.

MPE routing

Four MPE axes, thirteen destinations.

Each MPE axis (pressure, slide, strike, lift) maps independently into each row. Walk a cell from 0 to 1 and the row's destination walks with it. Mix multiple sources into the same destination and the matrix averages them; freeze a row and the dice leave it alone.

Pressure (Z)
Hardest to reach, easiest to feel. Modulates drive and filter most naturally; reaches every destination if you let it.
Slide (Y)
The Y-axis under your finger. Modulates timbre destinations (warp, detune) and cutoff in classic patches.
Strike
Note-on velocity. A one-shot impression of how the note was hit; useful for transient-shaping cells.
Lift
Note-off velocity. The release counterpart - shape the tail independently of the body.

Requirements

What it runs on, today.

Quiver plugins are built for MPE controllers and tested in real workflows before they ship. The supported set is deliberately narrow right now so every shipped plugin works the way the page describes. Wider coverage comes as each host gets a full pass.

macOS

Apple Silicon (M1 or newer). Intel Macs and Windows are on the roadmap, not yet supported. VST3 and AU.

Tested in

Ableton Live 12. Bitwig Studio, Reaper, and other MPE-aware VST3 / AU hosts should work but are not yet covered by our test pass.

Logic Pro

Should work as an instrument. Not yet covered by our test pass.

Controllers

Built for Osmose, Push 3, Seaboard, LinnStrument, Continuum. The plugin loads without an MPE controller, but the whole point is the per-finger gesture.

Price

€50. The price is the price.

Reach is the deepest plugin in the Quiver catalogue, the most MPE per square millimetre. No sales, ever; free major-version updates; a 14-day no-questions refund if it doesn't fit.
